Our range includes the Epson i3200, i1600, S3200, T3200, XP600 (DX11), 4720, L1800/1390, DX4, DX5, and DX7 printhead series, with different variants available for specific ink types and printer systems. Popular options include i3200-A1/E1/U1, i1600-A1/E1/U1, S3200-A1/U1, and XP600 F1080-A1/FA09121.

Which Epson printhead do I need for my printer?

The right Epson printhead depends on your printer model, ink type, and printing application. For older Roland, Mimaki, and Mutoh eco-solvent printers, DX4 (6000005213) is a common choice. DX5 (F186000 / F187000) is widely used in eco-solvent and UV equipment, while DX7 is found in high-resolution wide-format and SureColor systems. For newer machines, XP600 / DX11 (F1080-A1, FA09121) is commonly used for DTF, UV, and some eco-solvent applications. The i3200-A1 / i1600-A1 are designed for water-based and DTF systems, while U1 versions are intended for UV printing and E1 versions for eco-solvent applications. Always check the printer model, original head number, and product compatibility before ordering.

What is the difference between Epson DX5, DX7, XP600, and i3200?

Although all four use Epson's piezoelectric inkjet technology, they belong to different product generations and are designed for different printing requirements. DX5 is a well-established head widely used in solvent and UV printers, while DX7 focuses on higher-resolution wide-format printing. XP600 (DX11) is popular in DTF and entry-level UV systems because of its compact design and relatively low replacement cost. The i3200 represents a newer PrecisionCore generation, offering higher productivity and different versions for water-based, UV, and eco-solvent inks. i1600 belongs to the same newer family but is designed for more compact or lower-output systems.

Can a clogged Epson printhead be repaired?

Some nozzle blockages caused by dried or contaminated ink may be recoverable through our PRINTLIQUID™ printhead cleaning solution. However, physical damage, electrical failure, or permanently damaged nozzles generally cannot be restored through cleaning.

How long does an Epson printhead last?

In typical daily commercial use, an Epson XP600 printhead lasts around 3 to 5 months in DTF printing and 9 to 12 months in eco-solvent printing. Epson i3200 and i1600 printheads typically last 4 to 6 months in DTF production, while older eco-solvent models such as the DX4, DX5, DX6, and DX7 generally last 9 to 12 months. Actual lifespan depends heavily on ink type, daily print volume, cleaning frequency, and maintenance practices—not just the printhead model.
